LI: To learn how respect others while throwing our punches, Learning to not get discipline while not doing the right thing and also , Showing safety to our pairs, teacher and the people around us.
This term week 4 LS1 had their first session of learning how to box with their coach Pax. Pax told us a story of her being a boxer and showing all her impact in her journey. All her impact was that she trained 2 times and day everyday. Pax said she got taught how to be confident and go out their and be herself. Pax has competed in a reing and also worked for AUT and City finnese as a leader instructor.
We learned 3 commandments during our 6 weeks of boxing sessions.
Respect -
I will have respect for myslef, my coach, my peers and the sport of boxing.
Discipline -
I will have the discipline to turn up to every boxing session and my 100%.
Saftety -
I will not cause any harm to others and only practice boxing in a safe environment under the guidance of a coach.
Those were the three commanments that we got whenever we are learning how to box with our school coach Pax. So first she gave us instructions of what to do first , Pax told us to find a partner. After we had found a partner , Pax said we should warm up before we get into the boxing session. The warm up we needed to do was try and touch your partners knee , we had to move around and try and get our partners to touch the other partners knee. If partner 1 touched partner 2 , Partner 2 had to do 1 burpie , if they both tag each other they to do a burpie together. After had our warm up games. Pax told to sit down and she will give us the next instructions.
The instruction was she told us how respect the golves and how to put them on. Pax told us to where a white liner to keep the swet out of the golves. Pax also said the different kinds of sizes for the golves. She told us how to put a golve on. So me and my partner put our golves on and we learned how to box. The pision we did was Jab and cross. The first pision was , right leg out, right leg back, both hands on face- under eyes. Then we learned how to throught safe and good punches during our lessons.
