Exchanging Money / $10 notes and $1 notes

LI: to exchange ten $1 notes for one $10 note.
This week for Maths we have been learning about exchanging money. I was working with Alayah for this exchanging task. So , What we had to was 1 partner will have 10 $1 notes and the other partner will have $10 notes. Me and Alayah decided to do a slide and a screencastify video for our must do. The slide was an example of us planning doing our exchanging for the video. Then Miss Morison said we could do our video after our planning. I really enjoyed learning about exchanging in our maths lesson.

Clock Timing / Maths

LI: to tell the time on an analogue clock.

This week we started learning about telling the time on an analogue clock with Mr Wong. Mr Wong taught us why the long hand and the short hand is on the clock. It means , Hours and minutes. We had a small yellow clock to help us have knowlegde and skills on how to tell the time. We did learned 4 clocks with our Teacher Mr wong one of them were , 10:43 and 8:15 , I did 2 clocks so then it can be esaier for me to explain to other how to tell the time. As you can see i have a google drawing that has a description of what time it is on the clock and what is time. Mr wong gave us an Must do to do , and it was to create your own Clock showing one of the times we learned with him. Their was a site generator for us to create these clocks.

Basic Facts / Number bonds to 10

I was doing my Basic facts boxes but number bonds to ten. We did this in Mr Wong group it was fun but also easy. This helps me with my  maths and makes me good at doing numbers bonds so the other number bonds i do it can be kinda easy. 

Exchanging Animation | Maths | Tekau Objects

This week for our Maths we learned how buy things and how much its worth. My first animation included tekau objects 10, For an example: There was me and my friend Gene , Kaitlyn was selling a Bar of Chocolate it cost 10 dollars gene had $1 coins that added up to 10 dollars. She wanted the Bar of chocolate. She asked "Can i exchange that $10 bar of choclate and i will give $10 dolloar coins. Kaitlyn > " Okay" She bought it and i gave her a 10 dollar note back. Thats a example of what we were doing for this weeks maths. I had to do 3 animations slides, My second slide was Tekau ma rima 25. It was the same but different amount of money been given away and money that you got as change back. My 3rd slide had rua tekau ma wha 24, I had lots of coins to be made inorder for it to play like a animation. \

Maths | Basic Facts

This week we have been learning our 5 to 100 Basic facts. If you wanted to learn your basic facts you either push a botton that takes to you whatever Basic facts you wanna do. I was practicing my basic facts up to five because i wanted to start with esier on. I got some of my Substraction and addtion wrong like answers. This really hepled me it didn't really matter about my wrong and right answers. This Google sheet full of bacis facts really hepled me

Area

LI: To measure the right area

This week for maths we were finding area using a highlighter. Also using a piece of paper. We had to highlight a rectangle and find out the Width and Height. For a example if i highlighted a retangle the width wound be 3 and the Height would be 6 so we have to put it together and say 3 x 6 = 18. Our timetables have to be in between 3 timestables and 4 timetables.

Measuring / Area of rectangles and unit squares | Maths

LI: To Measure unit squares on the rectangle.

This week we did measuring the area of the rectangle or square. We used unit squares to measure it , After we had measure it had to count it and see how much area the unit squares take up. We had to create a slide or a animation created on a slide. I did a animation measuring the rectangle. We also used this paper to measure before we did our animation.

Maths / Different kinds of Measurement

LI: To measure lengths using Standard and non - Standard units.

This week for Mr wongs maths we did some mearsuring. We had to measure things around the Classroom. We needed to do 10 things measuring aorund the classroom. Non - Standard is where you measure with a whiteboard marker,Duster or your hands. Then you write it down how many Dusters or whatever you use non - standard to measure you equitment. Standard is were you get a ruler and actually find how many cm or mm thier are. One of my Objects was Netbooks Measuring with Non - Standard i used Uni links cube and it was 16 and a bit uni link cubes. Standard was i used the mm ruler to measure so it was 298 mm.

 

Maths | Spliting Fractions

LI: Dividing Fractions into havles and Quarters.

This week for maths we leared how to diveide fractions into equal pieces. We rolled a 12 or a 20 sided dice and what ever number you get you have to split how many counters can fit in each box. I was rolling the 12 sidded dice. I got 6 and 7. 6 was equal to fit in the havles box because 3 on one side and the other three on the other half. 7 wasn't equal on the quarters fractions because there was not enough counters to fit in all boxes. In the photo it looks equal , but it isn't. We also learned how to use an Abacus. We did Stair counting , Skip counting in 5's,2's and 10's. 

Maths/ Fractions

I learnt how to split up fractions using a ruler , pencil and a fraction sheet. We folded orgami paper into halves,Quaters and thirds. The paper was written shade in an half,so then we had to that. Also i used equiment to help make it perfectly and straight and the same size. "Fractions are the same size and shape".

For our Maths we had to talk about Capacity and measure different things with water. We had to use the Measuring cylinder to see how much it was held. Then after we had listed all the containers on our maths book and how much water it held then we had to go on flipGrid and make a video about Capcity with either 2 Equipment  or all of them.

For maths we had to do subtraction stragies. We had to duplicate the slide 3 and use 3 strategies. Our Strategies were : FIngers,change to addition,Number line.

To solve questions and put the right answer into Subtraction or Addition. This week For Math's we had to solve out problems and find the answer or work it out on a paper. This Math's task was hard because we have to solve the questions.

This week for Mr Wong's Math's group we had to solve problems on this google spreadsheet. We had to use our fingers and work out the answers. This Math's tasks was pretty easy to do. We had to do this by ourselves because this is easy whats the point of working with someone because your copy their answers and it will be wrong.

L.I develop instant recall of addition facts. Hello Alayah I have Answered all your questions. For Question 1 the Answer is 4 because you just have 10 lollies and you took away 6 the Answer would be 4 I got the answer by using a white board maker and a White board so what i did was draw the 10 lollies and took away 6 and my answer was 4. For question 2 the answer was 0 because you had a quarter of a cake and you have 4 friends come over and they wanted a piece of cake they had 1 per person and there was nothing left on the plate,So what i did was draw the cake half it into 1/4 and took away all those 4 pieces all the pieces were gone. For Question 3 the answer 46 because I used the Counters and i did 136 counters and i took away 90 counters from the 136 counters and it left me with 46. For Question 4 the answer is 840 How i got that Answer was i had 920 Yellow beans and then i took away 80 and left me with 840.

In maths we made questions for other to try and figure out. For my Maths Today was i was Solving Alayah's 4 Questions. Her Questions were Quite easy to do because they were all Subtractions Witch was Taking away she had 4 taking away in her 4 questions some of the were quite hard and hard to solve but I think i done a good job Solving Alayah's 4 Questions

Maths Questions

This week Mr oglives group had to make Questions to slove. What we did first was pick our questions then we had to put up pictures so it can explain or help the reader solve the question.Each box had to be a Addition,Subtraction,Multiplication and Fraction questions.We could also use some materials to help us make it.

Instruction video

LI:To instruct people of how to solve 2 digit number.

Today for maths i was doing my own instruction. For my instruction video was how to solve a 2 digit and another 2 digit number. So my 2 digit numbers were 34+17 and my other one was 23+16 so i had solve those to numbers. So how i solved it was add the first two numbers together to get your answer.
