Peace / What is peace?

LI: To explore some definitions of peace.
This week for Inquiry we have been Learning about what is (Peace). For this tasks We got splited into five groups. In those group we got told to list as many Antonyms and Synonyms that Links to (Peace). Those five people, 1 had to get the vivid's from Mr Ogilvie and 1, Had to get the peace of paper,1 had to get their Netbooks, The other 2 leftovers get to find any space in the class room for our group to sit. Then after writing all those words and finding what it means we came back to the mat getting ready to share our words. After we had shared our Interesting words , we had to split our 5 groups in to 3 groups or 2 pairs. I was partner with Angelica and Sulia,Fau and miiana made a group of 3. We had a slide deck to describe. We had 8 pictures to describe we were only aloud to list 3 words on whats describing in the picture the we did the pescriptives of the words we listed down. Then we had to make a google draw of What peace means?,What peace means to you?,What you think peace is? Then we had to upload onto our slide deck.

Tren Warfare / What was Trenches used for in world war one?

This term we have been learning about WW1. Our topic was to learn about why were trenches used in world war one and why did the soldiers need to use it fighting against other nations. For this task we needed to work in our partners that we worked in through the other lessons about world war one. There were 3 videos to watch about trenches and 1 article. Me and my Partner fau watch all 3 videos and kinda read bits of the Article. We mostly got information from the video because it show how and why. 

Road | Traffic Games | Slide Presentation

This week i was playing these games that represent Traffic lights , Roundabouts and Pedestrian crossing. After we had made our pedestrian planning we had to play the games on the LS1 Google site. After we had recorded our videos we showed our teacher and he said yes we are done so then we sat down where we wnat and played the games , I started off with the Traffic lights game because i wanted to try out how to control traffic lights and making the cars not crash into eachother because i wouldn't get a bonus point for that. So level 1 had on 4 lanes. 1 going straight from the left and on other side there was a lane 1 going straight going from the right. and there was the other 2 lanes facing each other. I had to control each traffic on each lane i really had to be care before one of the lanes and the traffic lights are all green and they all go off and they bump onto eachother. Second game i played was pedestrian crossing it was really fustrating i couldn't really understand. Next i played this puzzle game that i didn't like really much because the puzzle i couldn't sort out to be connected. There will be Pictures of the games. We didn't only play Traffic Light games. Before playing the traffic light games we first had to do a slide presentation talking about Traffic lights , roundabouts and Pedestrian crossing. We had to write information about traffic lights , roundabouts and pedestrian crossing. Also add pictures. After had done that we had to make a screencastify video with camera and your screen is showing witch you call it screen cast with your camera in any corner u want.

Inquiry / Pedestrian Planning

This week for inquiry we were talking about pedestrian crossing , Traffic lights,Roundabouts. We needed to talk about who invented them and witch country had built them or who had first. We got into three goups and there was three vides for us to watch and find our answers from. Each of us had to pick witch video to talk about and to do the presentation. I was talking about Traffic Lights. I found all of the information and put together. We didn't only watch a video and find our inforamtion for there. We used websites to read more about. Because the words that was in the article wasn't part spoken in the video.

Located Bridges Around World / Bridges / Inquiry

LI: To find Located Bridges around the world.
This week for our inquiry we had to use our 5 bridges on our Google maps. What we had to do was go on Google  maps and find our 5 bridges we used last week and then find 5 more bridges around the world so in total we are supposed to have 10 bridges all together. We had to find the bridges and copy and paste the year it was built and that kinda of stuff then we had to find the bridges located to the bridge we are talking about. Then we had to do the same thing to the bridges around the world , For the bridges we had to do last week we just had to copy and paste every information on the this vs that document. Conpare And Contrust / National and Internation bridges

LI: To Compare and contrast Panmure Bridge to a Local equivalent

This week for inquiry we had to Compare and contrast the panmure bridge with another bridge from around the world or in new zealand and the auckland harbour bridge. We had to use our researching skills to find the information we needed. To do this we had to be in pairs or you could work by yourself. We had used different types of media and information sources. We had gotten our information from Wikipidia.

Quiz game - Inquiry

This term we learned how we can put knowledge in our heads and getting ready for the quiz. We used Elective tasks and compulsory tasks to give us a head start. The systems we did was Nervous systems,digestive system,Circulatory and respiratory system. Other groups had to finish the tasks to earn credits for their group. If our task has the main body parts of the detail we get 2 credits if you don't have the basic parts you only have 1 credits. We shared our ideas to get as many credits we had to spend it and buy questions so we can have the answer quicker. We keep working and practising the tasks to get ready for the quiz day. So the quiz day started Friday July 6th. We had everything set up so we can play the quiz game. The three rounds was called Drawing,Sculpting,Questioning. In your groups we can only use our members once. All of our groups mates started off with drawing and keep caring on til It was next round.

Next round was Sculpting. Mr wong would give us a Topic to Sculpt in one of our systems we have been learning about. Mr wong was looking for the Sculpture that was detailed and had labels and all of that kind of stuff. After that Mr wong would pick a winner and give them a point for getting it. After the Sculpting round we had a Morning tea break. Then all of our groups was getting ready for the last and least question and round. Whitch was QUESTIONING! Mr Wong asked a whole lot of questions and our buzzer ways to clap our hand.

That was the end of the Quiz show. Also it wasn't just that happened We all had to pick who was going last witch the best at the that creating or answering. Everybody participated and also carried on with game and were proud of their self not getting anything. Also the audience were cheering their team and also telling them how it shaped.

Martariki | Colabaration

LI:  Learning about Martariki Celebration.
This week we Learned facts and information about Martariki with LS2. We worked Colabaritively to make a presentaion about Martariki. First we watched a video and found interesting facts and write it down on our presentaion slide. We talked about Martariki Coropertively and worked together to find heaps of stuff about it. We shared ideas that we learned from the video and thinking about our words that we said. We used Articles to find our headings for our Slide presentation.

Inquiry / Prove it

Powtoon / How the venus flytrap works?

LI: to prove that a organism is real by using MRS GREN
This week we picked a organism and had to prove that it was a organism or living. My group the Class Clown Crushers picked the Venus Flytrap to prove. We also had to record what we found out. We had to find out how the Venus Flytrap: Moves, Reproduces, Senses, Grows, Respires, Excretes, and gets Nutrition. We all had to prove all of that. We recorded out video onto Powtoons.

Compulsary task / Fishbone

LI: To fuction all the Circulartory and respirtory system.
This week we contuined doing the compulsary task for this week. The Class clown crushers worked
hard on this to get us to credits. The three blood vessels are, Veins, Arteries, and the Capillaries. The task we finished was the Fishbone. Also we contined doing the Respiratory system and the circulatory system.

LI: To learn what the 7 life processes of MRS GREN.
Today for Inquiry we had talk about the 7 life processes of living things. We had to talk about Movement,Reproduction,Sensitivity,Growth,Respiration,Excretion And Nutrition. We had to identify how movement is a living thing. We had to write a description of what they mean and add photo's. I was working with Charlize,Fau. 

(TNS) Commonwealth games

 LI: To make a DLO about what the commonwealth games are. In our groups we learnt that the commonwealth games are quite similar to the Olympics. We had to create a DLO ( Digital Learning object ). We had to answer 7 questions and put the answers on the DLO. We had to use LS1's print design rules. We also used the Template to put our work in those lines. We used text, and also photos. We aligned everything, did layout, composition, text and color. We all worked together to finish our work. Our Team did different questions. We all answered each question.

Whakatauki

LI: To find out a Whakatauki for your team. Today we had to make a dlo and put our Motto on it, Emblem, and also mkae our own whakatauki in our groups. Our whakatauki is, "What makes you Happy? To never give up and try your best at everything.'. My group and I chose that because whenever we have something hard to do we could just try our best no matter if we loose.

Today I had to work with my group to find our own motto for our emblem. We had to look at different mottos to see how mottos work. We used Bank mottos, Food Mottos, and Shop mottos. We all looked at our emblem and made our motto share it with the world because we all made our talents on our emblem so we could share our talents with everyone.TNS

LI: To create a piece of art work related to pop art. Today we had to make our own self portrait with art. We had to go through a range of instructions to get our piece of art done. First we had to get an image of ourselves and outline our face with a blue pen.  After that we had to get our pencil and put our image of ourselves on the window or door and trace our faces  on the back but moving our pencil side to side. When I finished tracing myself I went to go show the teacher and they put a piece of white paper at the back of our image and outline ourselves again with a red pen and it will go onto the the piece of paper.  I didn't press hard enough that's why you can’t see. Finally I had to pastel the white parts that show on my face from the Image I had but not the black parts. After that when I finished I had to paint the parts that I didn’t pastel black. When I finished with that I left it to dry out and when it dried I vivid out my face and ears, hair.

Learning Intention:  To learn about This VS That.

I learned about

Olympics and games. I found out the Olympic Motto and the Olympic Creed. i really enjoyed doing this tasks it was really fun to know the Olympic Motto is Latin - Citius,Altius, Fortius-Faster Higher Stronger. Me and my partner works together to get this tasks finish .  we inserted the pictures to explain what it was and definition of the photo. We also did the PBS Motto and the PBS Whakatauki.  I learned by  

Working with my partner and finding out good stuff about the olympics. We added a piece of writing and photos to talk about what me and my partner was talking about when me her was writing we thought to add photos because know one be confused why there aren't any pictures.

Winter Olympics

L.I: To create DLO and find information about the Winter Olympics.
Today for inquiry, we had to create a google draw and answer 5 questions about the Winter Olympics. A map of where it is and where it is being held, How far is it away from New Zealand, How long does it go for, How many countries are competing, and How many disciplines are there. For this inquiry activity we had to work in groups, in my group I had Sulia, Kaitlyn and Hinemoa. We used our researching skills and found out the right information. We even put extra information, and wrote how many athletes are competing. With this DLO, we were also practising our layout, composition, text and colour to get better with how we make our DLO's.

Three Roles

LI: How to interact with each other? How to interact with Whanau?

Today for Inquiry we had to create a slide about three roles witch was Government Services,Professionals,Trades,Emergency Services. We had to 1 from each role i picked Welfare from Government Services and i picked Builders from Trades,And Last and not least I picked Educator from Professionals. I had to write about those three roles and find some Interesting facts about the three roles i picked.
