Today we went to the YMCA Swimming center. year 3-6 went differnt times , I went with the year 6's to have a swimming lesson. I went to level 1 for a little bit then i got better floating on my back and on my Stomach then i called to move to level 2 whitch was with james. We learned how arm stroke like to keep straight and swim to the black platform. James tested us how well we can swim on our backs and on Stomachs. Then we tried it out , James said that some people in level 2 were kinda close but they just needed more practice on how to keep our hands straight. Then after we did the arm stroke , We moved on swimming under water and going through a hoola hoop. Each of us went under water and went through the hoola hoop, it was kinda hard because james kept the hoola hoop deep down so then we had to push our selves as hard as we can so then we can go through the hoola hoop. After we had went through the hoola hoop skill under water. The other skill we did was going deep under water so we can find the toys , Then we got back up and then we gave the toys to James.
I am a Year 6 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 1 and my teachers are Mr Wong and Mr Ogilive.

LI: To learn Swimming skills and how to get safely out of the pool.
Today Half of the Ls1 people went out swimming group by group. We splited up into our years and waited til the teacher tells us to get changed into our swimming togs and put our uniform over it. After a while we got told to come back and put our Gear bags where we can get it easly because we were about to leave soon. Then we got into 2 slient lines outside the door then we walked quitely and a form straight line to the office driveway. Then we silently listened to Mr wong because he was telling us Clear instructions to do when we get out of the bus and put our gear bags and shoes where its supposed to be. After that when we got into the pools we had to take off our uniforms that was warn outside our swimming togs we had to put it into our gear bags and sit on the floor when your finished. Then They called out some lesson actions that we didn't know how to do and knew how to do it. I wanted to learn how to the Swimming facing up. Our Swimming teachers wanted us to show what kind of swimming actions we could do so it was a testing lesson. Our Lesson teachers was teaching us 3 skills on how to swim safely in the water. So the first skill we learned was Arms Foward kicking , Our Second skill was Dohlphin dive The very last one we did was Kicking facing up.
