Quiz game - Inquiry

This term we learned how we can put knowledge in our heads and getting ready for the quiz. We used Elective tasks and compulsory tasks to give us a head start. The systems we did was Nervous systems,digestive system,Circulatory and respiratory system. Other groups had to finish the tasks to earn credits for their group. If our task has the main body parts of the detail we get 2 credits if you don't have the basic parts you only have 1 credits. We shared our ideas to get as many credits we had to spend it and buy questions so we can have the answer quicker. We keep working and practising the tasks to get ready for the quiz day. So the quiz day started Friday July 6th. We had everything set up so we can play the quiz game. The three rounds was called Drawing,Sculpting,Questioning. In your groups we can only use our members once. All of our groups mates started off with drawing and keep caring on til It was next round.

Next round was Sculpting. Mr wong would give us a Topic to Sculpt in one of our systems we have been learning about. Mr wong was looking for the Sculpture that was detailed and had labels and all of that kind of stuff. After that Mr wong would pick a winner and give them a point for getting it. After the Sculpting round we had a Morning tea break. Then all of our groups was getting ready for the last and least question and round. Whitch was QUESTIONING! Mr Wong asked a whole lot of questions and our buzzer ways to clap our hand.

That was the end of the Quiz show. Also it wasn't just that happened We all had to pick who was going last witch the best at the that creating or answering. Everybody participated and also carried on with game and were proud of their self not getting anything. Also the audience were cheering their team and also telling them how it shaped.

Matariki Celebration | Performance And Drumers

Yesterday we had our Martariki celebration. First the Senior Kapa haka performed with the stick and poe. The Kapa haka Group performed 3 items plus the haka the boys did. Then the Drummers where performing their Drumming. Mr Matt,Andrew,Mataio,Jonah was the drummers of the day. Next up it was ukulele group they were doing the lean on me song they did really good even though there was only 3 of them. Then after that is was the Junior Kapa haka group performing 3 items. Then the Pacifica group was performing only 1 item because we keep reapting it and then everybody else stand up and danced with us.

ASB getwise | Money save.

LI: CASH GOAL.
Today we had the ASB getwise to come and teach us how to save money. Jayden the ASB getwise tought us How to use our CASH GOAL! C- means Clear , When you wanna buy something you need to check the colour,Quality,Price and many more. A- means Actions. Is to what do you do to save and spend your money. So you wanna do lots of chors for your house,Neibours and many other things to earn you money. S- means SAVE AND SPEND. Save and spend means when you earn money you wanna spend the other half and save the other half for something else. H- Means How long , How long tells you how many week,days,Months,Years you can keep the pair of shoe yoi bought.

Maths | Spliting Fractions

LI: Dividing Fractions into havles and Quarters.

This week for maths we leared how to diveide fractions into equal pieces. We rolled a 12 or a 20 sided dice and what ever number you get you have to split how many counters can fit in each box. I was rolling the 12 sidded dice. I got 6 and 7. 6 was equal to fit in the havles box because 3 on one side and the other three on the other half. 7 wasn't equal on the quarters fractions because there was not enough counters to fit in all boxes. In the photo it looks equal , but it isn't. We also learned how to use an Abacus. We did Stair counting , Skip counting in 5's,2's and 10's. 

The silent red book | Diolouge

LI. To write a narrative with dialogue. This week we were learning about Diolouge. We created a slide presentaiton to show who is speaking. We watched a video about a girl called Mariah her home town was Hadingwa. The story was about a dog and a girl called mariah who had met each other randomly , but other people didn't like the dog eating Garbage so then they Driven him away. So he walked silently by himslef and found another Garbage bin and looked through it if their was any food for him to eat. Then Mariah came along and said for the dog to stop eating the garbage because its going to make him sick. So then he stopped and leaded Mariah to go see the sunset and also a shooting star. As they were lying down the shooting star went past , So then Mariah said lets close our eyes and make a wish. Then they headed back and said goodbye to each other because that was the only time that they could spend along together. Mariah said that she would always look at the moon and remeber her dog she met at the Garbage bin. The dog did the same and also said He/She will look at the moon and remeber Mariah. Learning about Diolouge was really fun because we got to watch a silent video and find who is the diolouge. Diolouge means when two people are speaking , Like Mariah would say something then the dog would reply. Here is the link to the video - Silent red book.

Martariki | Colabaration

LI:  Learning about Martariki Celebration.
This week we Learned facts and information about Martariki with LS2. We worked Colabaritively to make a presentaion about Martariki. First we watched a video and found interesting facts and write it down on our presentaion slide. We talked about Martariki Coropertively and worked together to find heaps of stuff about it. We shared ideas that we learned from the video and thinking about our words that we said. We used Articles to find our headings for our Slide presentation.

Quiz | Boost

LI. To make a quiz about the story you read.
This week for reading we created a quiz on the book we read. The 4 groups read different books, But Malificent and Thor was reading the same book called Boost , Pearcy Jackson was reading Not so Normal and Harry Vader was reading Man and sea. We used the google documents from last week to help us use our Prior Knowlege. In our groups we could partner up with somebody reading the same book, I was partner with Florence because me and Florence was reading the same book. Florence and I was using Kahoot to make our Boost Quiz. We needed to do 10 questions from the book that we were reading. The questions We needed to come up with was Author and me or On my own. Me florence shared our ideas and see if that would help us work coropitively and make our work more detailed and more interesting. Florence and i worked together niclely so we can each create something and show and blog good work so our teachers can give us good feedback to what we need to work on. Boost was about a girl called zaza that was upsessed with tails because she keep stroking it and touching it. Then Zaza went prancing around showing off her tail to everybody in the school , But her bestfreind Hine never liked tails because thought it was too dusty to fluffly and would make her sneeze. Mrs clark was the main teacher in there she was shocked and wanted too know why her class students was waring extension tails. So she made it clarely to everybody in her class " IS THIS A CLASSROOM OR A ZOO" You can already tell that Mrs Clark was angry because she had no clue why they were waring them. Extension means adding on to something that has been already made. Read the book you will find more interesting bits that haven't told you. - BOOK BOOST! ALSO play me and FLorence's Quiz !
