Kiwi Sport / Swimming

LI: To learn how to rescue other people if their Drowning.

This week for Kiwi Sport we had swimming at YMCA Pools. We learned how to save someone using a pool Noodle or using a rope. The Instructers told us how to save someone with the Pool noodle. They taught us how we Lie down on our stomach and save someone from the beach or pools.

When your drowning you have to put your hand up straight and still so someone can come and save you. Theirs is 1 action you can't do when you need to be saved. When your calling out "HELP" you can't wave your hand around because some people might think your waving for fun. When your   the pool noodle to rescuu someone that drowning you have to lay down on your stomach and hold on to the pool noodle with a strong grip and let the person thats drowning hold on to it and then you have to pull them slowly towards you.  We had to find a partner inorder for us to know who's drowning and the person thats saving them.

My Partner was Alice we had to do a drowning action and yell out "HELP HELP!" So then James gave us Pool noodle and then we had to try and help the other person by pulling them and saving them with the pool Noodle.
