World War 1 Interactive Notebook | World War 1

For Inquiry this week we have been learning about World war 1, And how World war 1 got officially end. We had to work in partners for this task but we got into little groups to to find out what Centrual powers , Triple Entente,Lusitania,Zimmerman Telegram,Treaty of Versailles,14 points and league of nations. We read some articles to help us out have a idea of what 7 topics mean and what they to world war 1. After we have finished Illustrated Vocabulary we had to move on starting with our timeline. We had a link to a article witch has dates to put the timelines into the right order with the right years.

Writing Recount | Suggesting | Rainbow's End Recount

LI: To write a 40 minute recount about the Skytower.

For Mr Wongs Writing groups we had a 40 minute writing a recount about the Skytower. I wasn't here for the Skytower trip so i had to think of something i did during the Holidays , I went to Rainbow's end in the Holidays with my family. The people who went on the Skytower trip had to write about what they did there. We had to look at the ruburic slide to see what number we were at for Punctsuation and Vocabalary. After that Mr wong had to read our Recount and make Suggestions.

Bundling | 2's,3's,5's,10's. Maths | Coloured Iceblock sticks

LI: Learning how to Bundle Coloured sticks together.

This Week Term 4 , Mr wongs Maths group has been learning how to bundle things together and see how much it is altogether. We had 18 colums being gived Examples and we had to do the rest by ourselves. When we've to the end witch is the bigger numbers like , 100,78 and those kinda numbers. We had to make up our own numbers and see how much we bundle up with the Coloured sticks we are have put together. This task was indivisual. We had to translate our English numbers into Moari. For Example > Bundles of 2 with 30 sticks altogether. get our 2 sticks by counting in 2's. We had to lay out 2 groups of sticks and count all of it and see how much it is altogether.

Moari | In the Beginning | Sand Art Video added

Today for Maori we learned about a book called In the Beginning. Mrs Fiyah Ody , During the story it was similar to the story Mr wongs reading groups read. We watched a sand art video about In the Beginning. After that we talked about what we saw in the video and if their was some similarities to the book. Search on YouTube - Sand Art and it will come clip. 

Smart Media | Media Smarts game | Cybersmart

From Term 2 to term 4 we have been learning about smart media. Today we started off with our new term 4 lesson of Cybersmart because we never did cybersmart in term 3. We went over doing Smart Media again. During our lesson we played a little game called Media Smarts game we had to find out how many gimmicks we get and used.

Kiwi Can | Respect for our school

On Wednesday 17th of October we had our a Term 4 Kiwi Can lesson. When we got into the Kiwi Can room we had to make 4 even lines inside. After we had made 4 single even lines we had to be in silence and wait for an instruction or a task. But it wasn't those two options , everybody saw two new Kiwi can teachers in the Kiwi can room. Everybody was wondering who they and What are they here for. Mr Matt Introduced one of the Kiwi Can teachers witch was Miss paige, Miss paige introduced herself and said that she's here to take over Mrs Lilly from this year to next year , til Mrs lilly back. Miss Paige said she ready to explore and experience lots of this with group A. Our theme and topic this week for term 4 is , Topic - Respect , Theme - Respect for our school. In Kiwi Can we talked about rules and how they aproach people also we talked how people feel when theirs no rules in the game. We also talked about having rules in PBS and how its like to not have rules inside our school.

Conflict and Resoulution

LI: To analyse a story for its conflict and resolution.

This week for reading we started learning about Conflict and Resoulution. We read a story called "Sparked" We had to read bits of the story and see of it was a conflict or a resoulution or not. There was on 2 actors and 2 other ones that wasn't choosing sides. Like mum and dad wasn't in part of story til the end.
