Maori / Fruits and Vegetables

LI: to write the pronunciation of the fruits and Vegetables.
Wendnesday we had another session of Maori with Mrs Fiyah Ody. We had 2 pieces of paper 1 had fruits and the other one had Vegetables. Group A LS1 Had to find out the Maori names of what is has been showen on the peace of paper. Ms Fiyah Ody Gave us some help and and wrote some of the maori names on the boared. Then when we finish coming up with names we decided to colour in the paper. I learned something new "Ho mai ke te" That Means Pass or give what that person asks for. Example Ho mai ke te Panana that means Pass me the bananna.


Peace / What is peace?


LI: To explore some definitions of peace.
This week for Inquiry we have been Learning about what is (Peace). For this tasks We got splited into five groups. In those group we got told to list as many Antonyms and Synonyms that Links to (Peace). Those five people, 1 had to get the vivid's from Mr Ogilvie and 1, Had to get the peace of paper,1 had to get their Netbooks, The other 2 leftovers get to find any space in the class room for our group to sit. Then after writing all those words and finding what it means we came back to the mat getting ready to share our words. After we had shared our Interesting words , we had to split our 5 groups in to 3 groups or 2 pairs. I was partner with Angelica and Sulia,Fau and miiana made a group of 3. We had a slide deck to describe. We had 8 pictures to describe we were only aloud to list 3 words on whats describing in the picture the we did the pescriptives of the words we listed down. Then we had to make a google draw of What peace means?,What peace means to you?,What you think peace is? Then we had to upload onto our slide deck.

Kiwi Can | Resepct for our Environment

Today for Kiwi Can we learned about "Respecting our Environment." So we went straight into our Energiser our Energiser was called "Four Corners" If you don't know how to play "Four Corners" I will show you so this game can be played with a bunch of people. Miss Paige named the four corners and a group of people have to go in those four corners when she say "Four Corners" Someone has to be in the middle closing their eyes and spinning around then he stops and eliminate the corner that is the loudest. Chris was the first person to be the person closing and eliminating groups from 4 corners.

Later on in our Kiwi Can Session. We talked about What is Respect? What is Environment? and What are some of the things that affect the Environment? People had many ideas not just random Ideas we had amazing ideas to share out to everybody.

Then we got straight into our Activity. Our Activity we played called "Invisible" Touch" There was 20 people of us so Miss Paige split us up into 2 groups of 10. Invisible touch is played when someone calls out a number , whatever number gets called has to run : Example , number 3 three people have to run around the basket ball hoop and the other team will run around the netball hoop. Miss Paige would say a name on who has the ball then we or they have to defend and try tag them. So if we tag the person who has the ball you have the ball , Now its time for you to use your stepping skills and trying to score an try for your team. After that we finished the game and Team 2 won , the team i was in.

Kiwi Sport / Boxing Sessions

LI: To learn Counters and combacks after somebody has throwed a punch.
Today for kiwi Sport we learned how to do Counters , If you don't know what Counters are i can tell you. Counters are comebacks when someone had throwed a punch or something at you , but you just don't wanna stand there and acting like you already lost , You wanna throw back something its like revenge. We used our defence as well from last week. We did a little warm up it was called "Stuck in mud" We had 4 tagers one of them were , Kaitlyn,Fau,Oscar and leroy. Pax said 3,2,1 , Everybody got into their pision , Then the tagers went off running and tyring to tag them below the waist not above the waist. Then after we had to games of the first round we had a second round with new tagers. After that we had two more rounds. Then we started off with our Boxin session.
   

Next we learned our first counterattack which was Guard, then jab cross. We did this with a partner, and one person had noodles, the other was with gloves. So the boxer in the pair had to avoid being hit by the noodle by guarding, then countering by jab, cross.

Our second counterattack involved another way of defence. We used the Slip, so if we dodged to the right we would counter with a cross. If we dodged to the left we would counter with a left hook. So the partner had to hit us at the left or right with one noodle and we would have to counter back hitting the other noodle they were holding.

On our third counterattack we had to bridge, which was moving back to dodge an attack. But once we move back we would be to far to attack so we had to move forward then attack with a cross, left hook then cross again.

Lastly on our last counterattack we used the U - roll. Our partner with the noodles, put both of the noodles on one shoulder, and then the boxer had to roll under then uppercut.

Cybersmart / Online safety


LI: to learn Safe online surfing.
Today for Cybersmart we learned about online safety. What we had to do was play a couple of Online safety game to see if we still know about online safety. There are 7 games that we needed to play and learn more about safety. I only played 4 games it didn't really help me so Miss Morison gave me help! Then we had to start on our quiz , created on a google form we had to try and list as many questions as you the maximum was 1-5 but could as many as we can.

Character kete



Today for my SSR Selfie i was doing the book Eight keys it was a interesting book because a girl wanted to unlock her past and i wanna unlock my past she wanted to do that because it has been different since her mom passed away.

LI: to write a summary of what your book is about.
Today for my options for reading i decided to do SSR selfie. I had retelled a story called "Now" Its about , This book is about a girl named Zelda One day she didn't know about her grandfather Felix's scary childhood Then she found out what the Nazis did to his best friend Zelda. Now She understand why felix does things he does. Its a really cool book i enjoyed reading it.




Infference reading

LI: to infer thoughts and emotions.
This week for reading we have been learning how to infer from the picture,video or book. Today we had to infer from a video called "For the birds" We had to stop on every action they do and see how they feel and why they feel that way. We started off with doing one iference as a group and doing the rest by yourself. Mr Wong said we could do 5-10 thoughts and emotions and i did 7 slides talking about thoughts and emotions.

Basic Fact Boxes / Maths rotation



 Today i was praticing my basic fact boxes. I only did three rows of my timetables because i didn't have enough time to the others. Some of them were hard but i got some help from my classmates. I did divided bys and and my timetbales. the timetables were pretty hard because i didn't any of them.

Exchanging Money / $10 notes and $1 notes



LI: to exchange ten $1 notes for one $10 note.
This week for Maths we have been learning about exchanging money. I was working with Alayah for this exchanging task. So , What we had to was 1 partner will have 10 $1 notes and the other partner will have $10 notes. Me and Alayah decided to do a slide and a screencastify video for our must do. The slide was an example of us planning doing our exchanging for the video. Then Miss Morison said we could do our video after our planning. I really enjoyed learning about exchanging in our maths lesson.

Today I decided to comment on Juels blog about timing. I read his DLO and it sounded pretty good. I had to involve a Greeting,Compliment and a ending also a question. I enjoyed reading Juels blogpost about telling other people how to tell the time.

SSR Slefie / Geranimo Stilton

SSR Selfie 2018 term 4 / Must dos



I was retelling a story by Geronimo Stilton And the book i chose was my Faviorite! Book , The book was called A very Merry christmas I needed to write maybe a half or one whole summary about the book by reading maybe 10 or 15 minutes to read the book and find out what it was. If you read his books he has awesome Characters and also awesome themes he has lots of them! In my Second summary on the right hand side i put down who created the slide and the 3 first letteres of the authors last name in any local library.
