Activity 3: Faded Glory [5 points]

To funraise the "Great Barrier Reef" I would donate another extra $300millon dollars to help them fix up all the damages that has been going with all the dangerous conditions. Wasting 20 millon dollars isn't enough because what if they want pay for people to clean up, rubbish put fresh water there and those kind of stuff they should be doing. I would organise the funrasing for people to vote and count how many money we have that people had funraised to us!.

Activity 2: The Black Drain [4 points]

1.Wairua -  (Northland)
2.Kaipatiki (Auckland)
3.Tarawera (Bay of Plenty)

I was asked to find to other polluted rivers in New Zealand. What to do to help these rivers stay clean at all times is to, After your eating put rubbish in the bins, Containers go into the recycle bin, plastic bags in the red bin,Cans go into recycle bin. If we walk past rubbish we pick it because the more we leave it there the more sea animals are to suffercate with all the dump people has done to the rivers. Rivers are for people to and explore things from there. This really helps people learn where and when its time to put there rubbish.

DAY 5: Wasting Away | Activity 1: Off the Menu [4 points]

What do you think about this rule? Is it fair that people are charged up to $100 000 for overfishing? NO

Because fishing is what everyone likes to do, everyone likes to take family and friends to go fishing there. And people like catching fish to cook for people to eat or for them to eat. Being charged 100 000 dollars isn't worth it just because people are overfishing and their getting charged an fine. Spending that much money because you'ved overfished. 100 000 is to much for other people to pay the amount of time they have been fishing. I wouldn't pay the fine if i got told i have been overfishing i would stop fishing at the place i fished at , and move on.

Activity 3: Picture Perfect [10 points]

The people saw their biggest rugby fan or something and they wanted to stop and take a pictur with the person they met and really wanted to meet. They look like a crowed group of people piling around one another , so i think they are in the stadium.

Activity 2: A Local Delicacy [4 points]

We would need:
5 patatos
3 eggs
1 cup chopped (celery)
1/2 (chopped onion)
1/2 cup sweet pickle relish

1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
1 table spoon prepared mustard
ground black pepper to  taste
1/4 cup of mayonnaise

NOW LETS MIX THESE INGREDIENTS IN!

We need to get a big large pot of salted water to a boil. Add chopped pieces of Patatos cook until ender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain, cool, peel and chop.

Then you want to get out your 3 eggs and put it in to boil water to let the skin get hot so then we can peel it after its cooked. Maybe we want to let our eggs boil til 10 to 12 minutes.  Remove from hot water, cool, peel and chop.

After everythign has cooked your want to combine the patatos, egg, celery, onion, relish, garlic salt, celery salt, mustard, pepper and mayonnaise.  Mix together well and refrigerate until chilled.

After its been refrigerated it getting ready to be well served! ENJOY!

Summer Learning Journey - Week 2 - Day 3 - Activity 1

Me - I would call myself a night owl, because I would always stay up. Every time I try and go to bed I can't sleep. I always like staying up and I usually sleep in at around 12:00 in the weekends.

3 Sisters - I would call my Sisters night owls, because like before they always like to stay up during the night time and watch movies, until midnight.

Parents - I would call my parents the early risers, because they would always sleep and then they wake up at around 6:00 to either go work or to do assignments.

Summer Learning Journey - Week 2 - Day 2 - Activity 1

Would you try to do it?
Yes, because not only have I waved an ika, but I tried something experiencing and challenging to do. I would also do this, because ever since I was a year 5 I have been wanting to weave something out of leaves. Weaving interest me, because looking at other people do it is always satisfying. Most of my family members have done it, before so I would like to try it out one time.

2. Sister , Claudia - I would pick my sister Claudia because she really helps me during my stuff and likes to look out for me , and she makes me breakfast and makes my lunch.

3. Sister, Rachel - If i would to pick my third player to complete the people i wold have in my race i would pick Rachel. (Why?) Because she drives me around she comes and drop me off food at my sport events and she would be a good person for her to come to my event!.

Activity 2: Living on the Edge [4 points]

Greetings Fau ,

How has your day been lately. My day has been awesome at the moment. I had the chance to go and visit the Tundra. It is very cold and dry right now. The best part is that is mostly snows everyday. When I saw the animals I was overwhelmed, because I haven't seen most of them at any point, until now. There was one animal that changed it's colour to blend in with the winter. I found out that the word tundra comes from a Finnish word tunturi, which defines treeless plain. I also experience that polar bears come to the tundra  to give birth in summer. When I was in here the sun hadn't risen for about a week. There are 2 types of Tundra seasons. They are the long winter and short summer. The plants grow together as if they are bunched together as a group. What did you experience, anything fun that I missed out on?

Thank you
Kind Regards
Kaitlyn Sikulu

This is my favorite thing to do during the summer , I don't really like doing much because there's nothing i really enjoy but sketch and play sports. I usally like to play inside sports not outside. My favorite thing is draw and colour in things i leave in my book that is not completed. I am colouring my (Crying face) That i have drawn today. If i have nothing to do i just really enjoy doing this because i think that i can be whoever i want and do what i want in my own time because what i do some people don't like to do.
